The Surgery Kincumber is a Mixed Billing Private General Practice. Patients who are under 16 yrs of age, DVA Gold card holding veterans and patients who hold a concessional health care card are currently bulk billed (no out of pocket expense as the federal government provides a supplemental fee to cover the shortfall or this population)
All other patients would need to pay a fee for consultations or services at The Surgery Kincumber as the subsidy provided for the service falls short of the charges. If eligible you may be eligible to obtain a medicare rebate. (Subsidy provided by the federal government to reduce the impact of the fee that you pay). Medicare regulations does not allow for the doctor to charge you only the shortfall, but instead, you are expected to pay the full fee and claim the government subsidy as a rebate. In most circumstances, the rebate would be able to be processed immediately.
The doctors who provide service in The Surgery Kincumber are independantly practicing Private General Practitioners. They are neither employed by The Surgery Kincumber nor by the Commonwealth or State government. The fee charged by them is determined by them and may vary from the indicative fee given below. The actual fee for the consultation depends on factors including the duration of the consultation. The duration of consultation includes time prior to the patient entering the consultation room while the doctor goes through the record as well as time to complete the documentation.
